Newlywed Game Questions

Based on the classic format: one of you guesses how the other will answer, then you compare out loud. It's less about being right and more about finding out exactly where you were wrong.

How to play

Pick a question. One partner answers it honestly, out loud or written down. Before they reveal it, the other partner guesses what the answer will be. Compare — a match is a point, a miss usually gets a laugh (or a "wait, really?"). Take turns being the one who answers.

About each other

  1. What's my go-to comfort food when I'm having a bad day?
  2. What's the one thing I complain about most, that isn't really about what I say it's about?
  3. Who do I call first when something big happens, good or bad?
  4. What's something I do that I don't think you've noticed, but you have?
  5. What am I most likely to lie about, even a small lie?

Firsts

  1. What was I wearing the first time we met?
  2. What was the first thing you noticed about me?
  3. Where was our first real date, not counting how either of us tells the story now?
  4. What did you think our relationship would look like a year in?
  5. What was the first thing that made you think "this could be serious"?

Habits & quirks

  1. What's my most annoying habit that you've learned to love anyway?
  2. What do I always do right before I fall asleep?
  3. What's the one household task I'll find any excuse to avoid?
  4. What do I order without even looking at the menu?
  5. What's my go-to excuse for being late?

The future

  1. Where do I want us to be living in five years?
  2. What's the one thing I'd change about our life together, if I could only change one?
  3. What do I think will be our biggest challenge down the road?
  4. What's something on my bucket list I haven't told many people about?
  5. What do I think actually makes a relationship last?
